Article Writing Tips - How to Make the Readers Know, Like and Trust You

People only buy or do business from others who they know, like and trust. For this reason, marketing should be revolved around this goal. Once the prospects know, like and trust you, closing the sale is much easier.

How could you do this with articles? Article marketing has a strong advantage over advertising and other forms of marketing because rather than blatantly promoting your products, you actually give away value and help the readers understand their problems and offer solutions.

You must focus on making the readers know, like and trust you in every point of contact with the prospects and customers. This is also the intention of doing follow up either by sending e-newsletters or direct mail pieces.

For article marketing, the first point of contact is when the readers view your article. You must make them feel like they can like and trust you, not much, but enough to make them click on the link in the resource box to your site. They have to like you to do it. Your offer has to satisfy their thirst for more information and solutions to their problem.

There are ways to do this in your article. The first is to share your personal stories. You can always relate a story with your articles. Doing that will make the readers feel like they already know you for a long time, even if this is the first time they read your article or hear your name.

If the site allows you to put a headshot of you, make use of that. The readers want to know who writes the article and if they like it, they want to know who they like. Don't be a mysterious entity.

Finally, you can write in a conversational tone. That conveys you are a human being just like them instead of an anonymous individual who stands behind corporate walls.
